Escape from the noise of the city and travel to one of the most impressive places in Greece - the imposing rocks of Meteora. The route passes through Boeotia, Lamia and Trikala before arriving in Kalambaka, in the heart of Thessaly. There you will visit two of the six active monasteries, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, built in the 13th century by monks on the steep cliffs.
After the tour of the monasteries, you will have time for a walk in Kalambaka and lunch in a traditional tavern. Then you will visit the cave of Theopetra, with its famous 23,000-year-old wall - probably the oldest human construction in the world. On the way back, the tour ends with a stop at Thermopylae, the monument to Leonidas and the 300 Spartans who sacrificed themselves to save Greece.
